Basic informations

The company gains current information about the state of water environment and systematically monitors its changes. Laboratories are located in Prague, Plzeň and České Budějovice. The laboratories have well-established and sophisticated quality control system according to CSN EN ISO/IEC 17025. Every laboratory is accredited by Czech Accreditation Institute, for significant part of their methods is accorded a flexible scope of accreditation (FRA). The laboratories have permission from State Office for Nuclear Safety for measuring of content of radionuclides and microcystins in water.
Fundamental overview of analysis of surface, drinking waste water, sediments, sludge and hydro-biological samples which are carried out in Water supply laboratories, Basins of Vltava, State Enterprise:
*sampling for chemical and biological analysis
*essential physical and chemical parameters measured in the field
*essential chemical parameters (anions, cations, TOC, COD, BOD, NL, RAS etc.)
*microbiological parameters (thermo-tolerant coliform and coliform bacteria, Escherichia coli, intestinal enterococci and cultivated microorganisms)
*hydro-biological parameters (macroinvertebrate, phytobenthos, phytoplankton, zooplankton, chlorophyll and others)
*metals (circa 26 elemental metals) including the content determination of their dissolved forms
*radiochemistry (alpha, beta, radon, radium and uranium activity)
*summary organic parameters (NEL, EL, C10-C40, AOX)
*special organic parameters (PAU, TOL, PCB, pesticides + metabolites, nitro substances, chlorophenols, MUSK, phthalates, PBDE, microcystins and pharmaceuticals)
